Sci Daniels is collaborating with JJ’s as part of a new kitchen takeover. He is a classically trained chef, MasterChef finalist and self-professed ADHDer, with a passion for bold flavours, creativity and sustainable cooking.
Cooking with passion, flair, and imagination
Sci started his career as a kitchen porter before working his way up to Head Chef at some of Suffolk’s most-loved venues, most recently The Crown in Woodbridge. His cooking blends quality, value and minimal wastage, with dishes that surprise and delight at every turn.
Career highlights include reaching the final 48 contestants on MasterChef (from an original 26,000 entries) and his work with The Tea Pot Project, an organisation that prevents surplus food from going to waste by redistributing it on a “pay as you feel” basis. Both experiences have shaped his commitment to flavour, accessibility and sustainability.
Outside the kitchen, Sci is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a charity marathon runner and a genuinely approachable, down-to-earth guy.
His company, Scimply Ltd, is now working alongside JJ’s to deliver an exciting new menu that combines creativity with affordability. Expect vibrant sharing plates, flavour-driven mains, and dishes that showcase his unique mix of passion and playfulness.
